The Irish team Leave for
Beijing World Combat Games.

Our four Athlete team left Dublin
bound for what is probably the
biggest contest that any of them
have faced and the possibility of a
world medal.

We wish Jay, Jason, Mark & Robbie
the luck that they deserve having
trained extremely hard over the
months leading up to this event.

Two Irish Fighters Guaranteed
to bring home World Medals
from China.
Jason Doyle and Robbie Mc Menamy
are through to the final at the World
Combat Games in Beijing, China.


Jason Doyle has beaten Richie Veres
to gain his place , He will fight Andrea
Luchessi on Sunday.


Robbie Mc Menamie has beaten
Harold Schmidt for his place, He will
fight Zolt Moradi on Sunday.

Mark Mc Dermot has lost to Nikos
Memos, he will fight off against
Thomas Imre for a Bronze medal on
Sunday

Jay Daniels lost to Lazlo Gambos, he
will fight off against Austria for a
Bronze medal on Sunday

I am sure you will joining me in
wishing out Athletes success in the up
and coming Combat Games in
Beijing. Ireland has four athletes
qualify for the most prestigious event
our sport has ever participated in.
The combat games is run under the
IOC patronage and includes 13
combat sports four of which are
Olympic.
